Wood BUgle

Wood Cube Bugle

All benefits (?) of the cube form factor from the concrete trumpet, but with reduced weight and improved ergonomics!

I started with the CAD from the concrete version, and modified it to put the mouthpiece at a corner. I sliced the model to give 2D cross section templates for each side of the 20 pieces of birch plywood, transferred the templates and started carving! Each piece was carved, drilled, and rotary-tooled individually, and I clamped adjacent pieces together for the final sanding to keep the interfaces smooth.
